My decadent Whipped Feta Cheese Board is another delicious appetizer! The ingredients include vegan feta cheese, vegan cream cheese, and a splash of lemon juice. I sprinkled in roasted walnuts and a chopped apple, and drizzled it with agave nectar.
Whipped Feta Cheese Board
8 oz. Vegan feta cheese
2 Tablespoons of nondairy plain yogurt
2 Tablespoons of vegan cream cheese
1 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Clove of garlic, minced
1 Teaspoon of lemon juice
1/2 Teaspoon of agave
1 Cup of chopped walnuts
1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/2 Large apple, diced
2-4 Tablespoons of agave, (to taste)
-Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-In a small bowl mix together chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper, then mix in agave syrup about 2 tablespoons.
-Add walnuts to a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. When done remove from the oven and set aside to cool. Once cooled break any of the candied walnut mixture which may have stuck together. Then set aside.
-In a food processor add the whipped feta ingredients and blend together for 2 minutes scraping down the sides as needed to make sure everything is blended. Then blend again. Dice 1 red apple and set aside.
-Once the dip is smooth and creamy spoon onto a board and spread.
-Add the diced apples to the bowl with chopped candied walnuts. Sprinkle the walnuts and apples over the feta cheese mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon and lightly drizzle agave syrup.
-Serve with graham crackers or your favorite crackers. Enjoy
