Vegetable Pizza Tart

Dinner, Lunch, Main Dish

Try making this Vegetable Pizza Tart.  It’s quick and easy to make using puffed pastry, plant based pepperoni, vegan mozzarella cheese, and pizza sauce as the main ingredients.

Vegetable Pizza Tart

Ingredients:
1 White onion, peeled, cut lengthways, then sliced thinly
1 Green pepper, sliced thin
1 Package of plant based pepperoni
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 Clove of garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1/2 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt and pepper
1 Puff pastry
4 Tablespoons of marinara sauce, or as desired
Vegan shredded mozzarella cheese
Pinch of Himalayan salt pepper
-2 Tablespoons of fresh basil, chopped (or as desired)

Directions:
-Preheat the oven to 400F.
-Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out the pastry and place it on a lined baking sheet.
-Use a sharp knife, to score the pastry along the edges about 2.5cm in from the edge. Then use a fork to prick the pastry. Use a pastry brush to brush the edges of the tart with almond milk. Brush with the middle of the pastry with a little olive oil. Add chopped basil then spread the marinara sauce over the pastry avoiding the edges. Evenly sprinkle the vegan cheese over the pastry. Then add the sliced green pepper white onions and plant based pepperoni and garlic to the tart.
Bake on the top shelf of the oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry has risen, and the tart is golden brown around the edges and the pastry is cooked. Serve and enjoy!
