Vegan Onion Dip

Vegan Onion Dip is quick and easy to make, with a flavor that is sure to please.  It uses less than five ingredients and goes well with your favorite chips or vegetable slices.

 


 

Vegan Onion Dip

Ingredients:
1 Medium yellow onion, finely chopped
2 Tablespoon of vegan butter
1 1/4 of Cups of vegan sour cream
1 Teaspoon of vegan soy sauce
1/2 Teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1/2 Teaspoon of onion powder
Himalayan salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped basil to garnish
Directions:
-Heat the vegan butter in a nonstick skillet over low heat. Then add the the onions to a cast iron skillet and sauté for 10-15 minutes stirring consistently. Add a little bit of water, let sauté and water evaporate as needed. The onions should be caramelized and fragrant. Remove cooked onions from the pan and drain on a paper towel.
-In a medium size bowl, add the cooked onions, Italian seasoning, onion powder and vegan soy sauce and combine well in a medium size bowl.
-Serve topped with chopped basil and pair your dip with tortillas chips, vegetables or crackers. Enjoy!
