Vegan Glazed Doughnuts are great for breakfast. They are moist and delicious, and topped off with a smooth and creamy glaze.
1/2 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
1/2 Cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 Cup of gluten-free all purpose flour
1/2 Cup of coconut sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt
2 Tablespoon of unsweetened applesauce
2 Tablespoons of vegan butter, melted
1 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 Cups of organic powdered sugar
1-3 Tablespoons of nondairy almond milk, (add more as desired according to glaze thickness)
1-2 Tablespoons of vegan butter, melted
-Mix the apple cider vinegar and almond milk in a bowl. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Then preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Grease a couple of donut pans.
-Add the dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk ingredients. Add in the wet ingredients and buttermilk with the dry. Combine well.
-Add the batter to a greased pan – little over half full, then bake for 8 – 10 minutes or until baked thoroughly.
-To prepare glaze, mix together the melted vegan butter, almond milk and Himalayan salt. Then add the organic powdered sugar, a little at a time until smooth and creamy. Dip donuts into glaze then put on a baking tray with parchment paper to set then enjoy!
