Vegan Barbeque Meatballs

You have got to try these Vegan Barbeque Meatballs.  The meatballs were made with plant based meat and topped off with a delicious barbeque sauce.

 


Vegan Barbecue Meatballs

Plant Based Meatball Ingredients:
1 Package of plant based ground Beyond meat
2/3 Cup of onion, chopped
1 Cup of basil, chopped
1 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1/4 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt
1/4 Teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 Cup of golden round crackers, crunched into crumbs
1 9 oz. Package of fusilli pasta

Barbecue Sauce:
2/3 Cup of tomato sauce
1/2 Cup of barbecue sauce
1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
1/4 Cup of orange juice
1/4 Cup of molasses
2 Tablespoons of sugar free maple syrup
1 Tablespoon of vegan Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Teaspoon of smoked paprika
1/2 Teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1/4 Teaspoon of onion powder

Directions:
-Cook brown rice fusilli pasta according to directions on packaging.
-In a small saucepan add barbecue sauce ingredients and whisk until combined. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside.
-Add crackers to a zip lock bag and use a rolling pin to crush crackers.
Combine the ingredients in a large bowl. Then roll the plant based meatballs about 1 1/2 tablespoons measuring with a cookie scoop or you can use a tablespoon to create the balls. Preheat the cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
-Place plant based meatballs in a cast iron skillet and sauté for about 15 minutes until golden. Pour the barbecue sauce over the plant based meatballs to simmer for 20 minutes, or as desired. Serve with a delicious salad. Enjoy!
