Roasted Garlic Hummus

My Roasted Garlic Hummus is creamy and delicious and it only uses seven ingredients.  And it’s quick and easy to make.  Enjoy!

Roasted Garlic Hummus


Ingredients:
1 Medium head of garlic
3 Tablespoons of olive oil
2 Cans of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt
3/4 Teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 Cup of fresh basil, chopped
1/4 Cup of fresh lemon juice
Fresh baguette bread, sliced and toasted

Directions:
-Preheat the oven to 400F.
-Cut the top off of the garlic head showing the tops of the cloves. Place the garlic cut side up
on a small piece of foil and placed on a baking sheet. Drizzle garlic with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, Himalayan salt pepper. Fold up the edges of the foil over the garlic head and close shut. -Place on a baking sheet for 30-45 minutes or until the garlic becomes fragrant. Once the garlic has softened, remove the garlic from the papery skins and add to a food processor along with chickpeas, basil, fresh lemon juice and seasoning. Pulse until mixture is smooth. Add fresh herbs and a little water until desired consistency. Serve and enjoy!
