Plant Based Caramelized Onion Burgers

You should try this delicious Plant Based Caramelized Onion Burger for lunch!  A big and juicy veggie burger was topped with caramelized onions, vegan cheese and a tasty chipotle sauce.


Plant Based Caramelized Onion Burgers

1 lbs of ground Plant Based Meat
1/2 cup of white onion, chopped
1/2 cup of panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1 tablespoon of fresh basil, chopped
Himalayan salt and pepper
1-2 tablespoon of olive oil
Chipotle Sauce:
3/4 cup of vegan mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons of ketchup
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard
2 tablespoons of dill relish
3 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
Himalayan salt and pepper
Artisan Lettuce
Vegan sliced cheese
12 dill pickles
1 tomato, sliced
1/2 red onion sliced
-Whisk all the sauce ingredients in a medium size bowl until combined. Set aside.
-In a large bowl, add the plant based ground meat along with spices and panko bread crumbs. Mix Ingredients.
-Prepare 4 ounce plant based burger patties and place in a cast iron skillet. Cook according to directions on packaging about 5 to 7 minutes on each side then add sliced vegan cheese until melted.
-Repeat with remaining burger patties.
-Add the rolls to a serving plate then add prepared Plant based burger from the skillet. -Add lettuce, tomatoes and caramelized onion and top with Chipotle sauce. Serve with a side salad. Enjoy!
