As we kick off the summer, I made this smooth and delicious Pizza Hummus. I used chickpeas, nutritional yeast flakes, red pepper flakes, and tomato paste to name a few ingredients. The hummus dip was creamy and smooth, and it had a nice kick to it. This is great to serve around the holidays with family and friends.
2-3 Cups of garbanzo beans
1 1/4 Cups of water
4 Basil leaves
1 1/2 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt
3/4 Cup of nutritional yeast
1/4 Cup of avocado oil
2 Garlic cloves
1 Tablespoon of red pepper flakes, to taste
1 1/2 Teaspoon of oregano
3/4 Cup of tomato paste
-Add all the ingredients in a food processor. You can also use a powerful blender. Blend until smooth and serve room temperature or after being chilled. You can serve hummus with flat bread, vegetables or a snack of your choice. Enjoy!
