Double Chocolate Orange Brownies

Double Chocolate Orange Brownies are a decadent dessert treat with a creamy, chocolate filling and they are topped off with a delicious orange zest.  They are also quick and easy to make.



Double Chocolate Orange Brownies

1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup of cacao powder
1 cup of blanched almond flour
1/4 cup of sugar free maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan salt
Chocolate Filling:
1/2 cup of canned coconut cream
1/2 teaspoon of orange zest
Nondairy Chocolate Drizzle:
1/4 cup of nondairy dark chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil, melted
-Brownies – In a large bowl, add the blanched almond flour, cacao powder, sugar free maple syrup, vanilla extract, and Himalayan salt to a bowl. Combine ingredients.
-Use a round silicone pan, then use a medium cookie scoop to add 2 scoops of brownie mixture to each section. Press brownie dough across the bottom of the pan. Then use the bottom of a measuring cup to smooth out the dough.
-In the middle of the dough, press a tablespoon in the center of each brownie to make a well. Set aside.
-Add the coconut cream to a saucepan over high heat. Place the chocolate chips in a medium size bowl, set aside. When the coconut cream starts to bubble, remove it and pour over the chocolate chips in a medium size bowl. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Add orange zest and adjust to taste.
Spoon the creamy chocolate filling into the well then chill for 30 minutes or until it sets.
-Melt nondairy dark chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a double boiler. Drizzle chocolate over top of the brownies, freeze for 2 hours or until set and enjoy!
