Delicious Snickers Bars

Delicious Snickers Bars are a chocolate-ty and indulgent snack that is full of protein.  This is a healthy dessert that’s made from nondairy caramel chocolate, creamy peanut butter, peanuts and sugar free maple syrup.  These bars are tasty and chewy.



Delicious Snickers Bars

Nougat Base
 1 cup of coconut flour
1 ½ cup of almond flour
2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
2-4 tablespoons of unsweetened almond milk, as needed.
Nondairy Caramel Layer:
12 soft Medjool dates, pitted
1/3 cup of sugar free maple syrup
2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup of peanuts, lightly chopped
Nondairy Chocolate Caramel Layer:
1 9 oz. bag of nondairy caramel chocolate chips, melted
1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil
-To make the Nougat Layer:  In a large bowl, add all the nougat ingredients and combine well until it has a dough consistency.  If the dough is too dry, add an additional 1 tablespoon of unsweetened almond milk as needed for a good consistency.
-Add the dough to a square silicone pan, filling each section. You can also use an 8-inch square baking pan lined with parchment paper.  Smooth dough and place it in the freezer.
-To make the Caramel Layer:  In a food processor add all the caramel ingredients.  Process until smooth and creamy.  Scrape down the sides and blend ingredients.
-Remove the silicone pan from the freezer, then spread the caramel filling in each square section with a spatula. Add chopped peanuts over the caramel layer and lightly press into the caramel.   Place the bars back into the freezer overnight.
-In a double boiler add the nondairy caramel chocolate chips and coconut oil.  Stir until smooth and creamy.  Dip each bar into the chocolate then place on a tray with parchment paper.  Let them sit out on parchment paper until hardened.  You can also freeze for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
